Raphael Amponsah, PhD, is an AI & Data Product Architect whose work sits where AI, banking, and digital financial inclusion meet. As Senior Data Analyst at Consolidated Bank Ghana, he takes data capabilities from idea to production: a natural-language-to-SQL engine that lets non-technical staff query banking data in plain English, productivity analytics serving more than 3,000 staff, and a real-time core-banking streaming architecture. He holds a PhD in Information Systems from the University of Ghana Business School. His research on trust in Ghana's rural mobile money ecosystem produced the Dynamic Rural Trust Model, a set of user archetypes, and the constructs of Proxy Trust and Surrogate Trust, asking not only whether people are included but whose trust financial systems are built to count. He is a published author with CGAP / FinEquity on digital financial inclusion. Raphael is the author of the SAFER AI Risk Toolkit, a five-pillar framework for governing AI in regulated banking, and the builder of SAFER X REDACT, which keeps customer data out of cloud AI tools. He founded OneRubric, an academic quality-assurance platform piloted with GIMPA, where he lectured in information systems for eight years, and he continues to supervise postgraduate research. He is based in Accra.
